Veneto Tourguide Guided Tour Rates

2026 Rates

The Euganean Hills are volcanic reliefs located in the southwest area of Padua, inhabited since ancient times due to their favorable position.

RATES for all of Veneto – excluding Venice

HD (2 hours) up to 30 students €150

HD (2 hours) 31 to 40 students €170

HD (2 hours) 41 to 50 students €190
FD (4 hours) for FD rates, the HD rate is doubled.

Pick-up supplement €40: when the guide must reach the group in locations not served by public transport, when the meeting point with the guide and the end location of the excursion are very far apart, and/or when the guide picks up the group at hotels far from the historic center/guided tour.

Hourly supplement €65: if the group wishes a guide service longer than standard, an hourly supplement will be applied for each additional hour.

Single Monument or Single Villa Visit €150

Holiday supplement +30%: Christmas, New Year, and mid-August.

VENICE RATES

HD (2 hours) up to 25 students €170

FD (4 hours) for FD rates, the HD rate is doubled.

The rates and visit arrangements apply only to outdoor tours or walks through the city of Venice. In many monumental sites such as the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica, the permitted number of participants accessing the interior is 20/25 pax, so for groups exceeding this number it is mandatory to book multiple licensed guides.

Visit arrangements for groups of 50 students will change starting June 2024 according to a law enacted by the city of Venice, whereby the number of participants for guided tours will be limited to 25 per guide.

N.B.: according to the Venice City Council Resolution of 2024-02-01, the use of earphones is mandatory for groups of 10 people or more.

Pick-up supplement €30: when the meeting point with the guide and the end location of the excursion are very far apart and/or when the guide picks up the group at hotels far from the historic center/guided tour.

Hourly supplement €85: if the group wishes a guide service longer than standard, an hourly supplement will be applied.

MUSEUMS

For museum visits, groups of 25 people/students maximum are accepted; beyond this, the group must be divided into 2 guides.

VENETO rate (excluding Venice) per single group of 25 prs. €150: rates for larger groups upon request

VENICE rate per single group of 25 prs. €170

Holiday supplement +30%: for guide services at Christmas, New Year, and mid-August.

Specifications List

A group consists of 6 to 50 participants. Above 50 participants, it is advisable to divide the group into two, each with a guide. Below 6 participants, please request a specific quote.

A full-day service in Veneto (excluding Venice, which is calculated at an hourly rate) means maximum 5 hours (consecutive or divided into before and after lunch break) in the city, with service starting and ending at the same point (for programs with transfers, a specific quote must be requested).

In Venice, however, actual visit hours are counted, meaning the visit is charged at an hourly rate. According to the latest ordinance, groups can consist of a maximum of 25 people and must all be equipped with audio guides-whispers.

Supplements apply to the above rates for services starting and ending in different locations, pick-ups outside historic centers, transfers, additional hours, bilingual guides for mixed groups, customized itineraries, etc. For details, please send a request.

The above rates are to be understood as gross of withholding tax 20%.

Entrance fees to museums, monuments, etc., are not included in the guided tour rate.

Based on their tax regimes, some guides will apply + 4% INPS surcharge to gross rates.

Advance payment is required for new clients, with a pro forma invoice sent directly from the assigned guide and by bank transfer. Any bank transfer costs are borne by the client.

The issued invoice will include a €2.00 stamp duty only when the net amount exceeds €75. This is to be borne by the client.

Unless otherwise agreed, the service will be considered canceled, with payment of the base rate for up to 30 participants still due, if the waiting time of one hour beyond the booked arrival time is exceeded.

Cancellations must be received at least 3 days before the requested date, otherwise payment of the base rate for up to 30 participants is due.

Monument Access Rules

Online booking and the use of radio guides with earphones are mandatory for guided tours of groups exceeding 10 people

The main changes are two: groups exceeding 10 people must book the guided tour using the dedicated online form, and during the visit they must use radio guides with earphones.

Groups will have the option to conduct the guided tour with their own guide or request to be accompanied by a friar or a Basilica guide. In both cases, however, on the day of the visit, groups must register at the Information Office, submitting a printout of the confirmation email, with the relevant code, received at the time of booking.

In the Basilica, informational materials (sign– flyer) are already available for pilgrims and tourists, explaining in detail the new booking procedures; it will be possible to send us bookings through the form that will be activated on our website www.santantonio.org.

STUDENTS: if it is a middle school, the use of earphones in the Basilica is not necessary. Starting from high schools, earphones are mandatory and the entry time slot must be booked.

Please note that guided tours are conducted exclusively during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday 9 AM-5 PM
  • Saturday 9 AM-3 PM
  • Sunday and holidays 1:30 PM-3 PM

Guided tours cannot be conducted on the feasts of the Immaculate Conception, Christmas, Easter, Feast of the Tongue, June 13, and during special celebrations.

Entry to the Basilica with a guide costs €6 per person. Booking must be made at www.basilicasanmarco.it. Radio equipment is also required for explanations inside the basilica for groups exceeding 9 people.

Guided tours cannot be conducted on the feasts of Christmas, Easter, Feast of St. Mark (April 25), and during special celebrations (check the Venice Patriarchate website).
