This medieval town is located at the foot of the Venetian Pre-Alps. It encloses monuments such as the “Loggia of the Commune”, the “Old Bridge” and churches such as the Church of St. Francis, the Church of St. John the Baptist in its fascinating medieval squares. The town is well known for its excellent grappa, which you could taste in the old inns on the side of the Brenta river. Bassano is also famous for its ceramics, produced since 17th century.
